Job Title: Security Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join their team in Philadelphia. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT operations team to ensure the firm's data, computer systems, and infrastructure are secure and protected from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the firm's IT leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy
  • Partner with various business groups to ensure security best practices are followed in the design and implementation of new projects
  • Administer vulnerability management and EDR platforms to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Work with cloud engineers and operations staff to ensure Microsoft cloud design and implementation follow security best practices
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure security applications are installed and functioning as expected
  • Monitor SIEM and Microsoft Azure environment for evidence of current or previous security events
  • Lead incident response in cases of confirmed security incidents
  • Monitor outside threat intelligence sources and make recommendations to ensure the firm is well positioned against future threats
  • Work with technical operations teams to ensure security controls such as firewalls, MFA, and NAC are functioning as expected
  • Prepare reports of security performance metrics, events, incident findings, and other security-related outputs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in security, computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Current security certifications preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year
  • 3+ years of work experience as a security analyst or information security engineer
  • Hands-on experience in security software and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus/EDR software, identity monitoring solutions, authentication platforms, log management, web-content filtering platforms, and vulnerability management systems
  • Splunk, Crowdstrike, and Qualys software experience
  • Experience in project task planning, implementation, and documentation

  • Azure cloud security experience
  • Masters degree
