Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Allen Distribution. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting customer products via tractor trailer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport customer products via tractor trailer, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the long-term success of the organization by maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with the Fleet Dispatch Manager, Driver Manager, and Load Planner to ensure efficient and effective transportation operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and consignees to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and report any issues or concerns to the Dispatch team.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and consignees
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers, and sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions from dispatch
  • Ability to work and understand electronic communication, including in-cab communication and e-logs
Compensation

Our compensation package includes:

  • CPM Pay - $0.65 (Cents Per Mile)
  • Live Load - $27.00 per stop
  • Live Unload - $27.00 per stop
  • Hook loaded Trailer - $6.75 per stop
  • Drop Loaded Trailer - $6.75 per stop
  • Hook Empty Trailer - $6.75 per stop
  • Drop Empty Trailer - $6.75 per stop
  • Detention - $27.00 / hour after 1.5 hours from appointment time
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work a variety of shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
