Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Accountable for the day-to-day management of mechanical personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is working effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of packaging equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with company cGMP's and SOP's.
  • Continuous Improvement: Oversee daily set-up, repair, and preventive maintenance of packaging equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement and increasing Units Per Minute.
  • New Line Design and Installation: Prepare timelines, line layouts, and review electrical schematics for new machine installation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct IQ/OQ reviews and approvals, ensuring that all equipment and systems meet company standards.
  • Contract Management: Oversee outside service requirements and contracts negotiations for compressors, PLC's, and other equipment.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform installation and set-up of new vision systems, and possess knowledge of welding, machine fabrication, and technical repairs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in a manufacturing/packaging facility.
  • Mid-level PLC and vision system knowledge.
  • Knowledge of key mechanical repairs, including motors, gearboxes, and electrical systems.
  • Low-level electrical knowledge.
  • Shop work experience, including lathe, drill press, and welding.
  • Able to work with CAD drawings and layout new lines and machinery as needed.
Salary Range

$35.00-$45.00/hour based on experience.
