Job Overview

As a Receptionist Specialist at StepStone Hospitality Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Registering and allocating rooms to visitors.
  • Issuing room keys and providing directions to guests.
  • Sorting and managing incoming correspondence and messages.
  • Facilitating communication by transmitting and receiving messages through various channels.
  • Responding to inquiries regarding hotel amenities, guest registration, and local attractions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of room availability and pricing.
  • Calculating bills, processing payments, and providing change to guests.
  • Handling reservations through multiple communication methods.
  • Posting charges for services such as lodging, dining, and other amenities to guest accounts when necessary.
  • Arranging transportation or entertainment bookings for guests.
  • Safeguarding guest valuables in the hotel’s safe deposit box.
  • Utilizing various office software proficiently.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all hotel operations, including night audit procedures.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Prior experience in customer service and proficiency in computer usage.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Physical capabilities including pushing, bending, stooping, and manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills, including hearing, writing, and typing.
  • Ability to pull a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Flexibility to perform additional tasks as required.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of all hotel departments and their functions.
  • Strong mathematical skills and computer literacy.
  • A high school diploma is mandatory; relevant training and experience, along with further education, are preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
