About the Team:
FIS Global is on the lookout for a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to serve as a vital team member in delivering software that adheres to stringent quality benchmarks.
We require someone eager to learn and contribute to ensuring quality throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to test scripting, execution, and reporting.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a highly driven self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys agile methodologies, and adopts a collaborative, team-focused approach to software testing.Key Responsibilities:
The Automation Specialist will collaborate with the Software Development team to interpret functional specifications; create and execute automated tests for complex payment APIs; uphold and enforce SDLC processes and protocols; mentor team members; and provide project status updates to leadership while supporting existing products and services.
- Plan, design, and develop tests for B2B products and services in collaboration with Engineering leads for Cloud using a microservices architecture.
- Analyze requirements for intricate payment systems and offer test recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and execute both manual and automated tests.
- Identify, log, and monitor software defects.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise in testing methodologies.
- Provide release readiness assessments based on test execution and defect metrics.
- Engage in SAFe and Agile meetings as necessary.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in testing RESTful APIs, SOAP Web Services, web applications, and Windows services.
Proficient in at least one test automation framework.
Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Cassandra/NoSQL databases, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Git, Jenkins is advantageous.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team-oriented setting.
Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of cloud technologies, AWS experience.
Experience in the payments industry.
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
