With a mission to revolutionize the way companies manage their employees, Rippling is seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of its core platform products.

The Challenge

Rippling's rapid growth has created a complex onboarding process that requires historical employee data import and app access setup. Additionally, customers are limited to purchasing the entire platform, rather than being able to choose individual apps. To overcome these challenges, the Company team aims to accelerate Rippling's growth by making onboarding faster, more efficient, and error-free, while also providing customers with flexibility in buying platform apps.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering on this mission. As a key member of the Company team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leaders to drive the vision and strategy of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing engineering initiatives, such as architectural changes, hiring process improvements, and post-mortem processes
  • Providing technical leadership and vision to a widely scoped engineering team
  • Driving the development of products and platforms in a fast-paced, startup environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7 years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of software architectures
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager in leading small and mid-sized development teams
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field
  • Solid programming skills, a track record, and passion for improving code structure and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability
  • Excellent team development skills, including setting roadmaps and goals, delegating intelligently, and delivering frequent and transparent feedback
