Lead Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Lead Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model and teach correct standards for resident care in performing basic routine nursing assistant duties/tasks.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Certified Nursing Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, use of equipment, or performance of procedures within the responsibilities of the C.N.A.
  • Perform supervisory duties for an assigned group of employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Serve as a mentor/teacher for newly hired CNAs and Nursing Assistant Trainees, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • One year of experience as a CNA at Providence-Seward Mountain Haven
