We invite candidates who can enhance the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

Position Overview:

Role Summary:

The Assistant Professor will function as a full-time psychologist within EHVP, part of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University’s School of Medicine.

This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical services, engage in clinical research, and oversee postdoctoral fellows and trainees in both care and research activities.

EHVP offers clinical services to post-9/11 veterans and service members at no cost to the patients, as part of the Warrior Care Network.

Clinical responsibilities encompass the assessment of veterans referred to EHVP and the provision of evidence-based treatments for conditions such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, substance use disorders (SUD), and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

EHVP operates in an outpatient environment and features an innovative intensive outpatient program (IOP) where veterans travel from across the nation to receive intensive therapy daily for two weeks.

EHVP is committed to fostering a work environment and organizational culture that mirrors the community and society we serve, promoting a climate that values the unique contributions of diverse employees to facilitate their success.

We actively encourage applications from individuals traditionally underrepresented in clinical psychology and higher education, including ethnic and racial minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
