Stormwater Design Specialist

As a Civil Engineering Consultant, you will play a key role in achieving this goal by working with our Water Resources team to design and develop stormwater management systems, drainage plans, and other water resources-related projects.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for assisting project engineers in designing and permitting stream restoration and wetland restoration projects, as well as conducting fieldwork, including SWPPP inspections, infiltration testing, field measurements, site visits, and/or construction observation. You will also collaborate with other team members to ensure that all projects meet our high standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist project engineers in designing and permitting stream restoration and wetland restoration projects;
- Conduct fieldwork, including SWPPP inspections, infiltration testing, field measurements, site visits, and/or construction observation, including interacting with contractors, sub-contractors, residents, and City staff;
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all projects meet our high standards of quality and excellence;
- Develop regional stormwater plans and/or floodplain modeling and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources or bio-systems engineering, or equivalent program from an accredited college;
- Certified Engineer-in-Training or able to obtain within 12 months of hire;
- Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software, such as AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation;
- Ability to learn and utilize drainage modeling and design software, such as XPSWMM, AutoDesk Storm & Sanitary, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS;
- Possess a valid driver's license, as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
