About the Role:This is a full-time position in our Oncology Outpatient Care Clinic, where you will work closely with our oncologists to provide family history assessment and cancer genetic counseling to patients and families at risk for cancer. Your primary focus will be on providing expert guidance and support to help patients navigate their genetic health journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct family history analyses and pedigree maintenance
- Coordinate data and chart organization
- Write and dictate consultation and summary letters to patients
- Follow up with patients and families to ensure their needs are met
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Genetics Counselor with a Master's degree from an accredited Genetics Counseling training program. Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics is a plus. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as proficiency in computer skills and public speaking.
