Job Description

As a Signal Support Systems Specialist with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of information within military units. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate Signal Systems and Networks: You will be responsible for integrating signal systems and networks to ensure seamless communication within military units.
  • Perform Signal Support Functions: You will perform signal support functions, including unit-level maintenance on authorized signal equipment.
  • Install, Operate, and Maintain Radio and Data Distribution Systems: You will install, operate, and maintain radio and data distribution systems to ensure reliable communication.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain Radio and Data Distribution Systems: You will be responsible for maintaining radio and data distribution systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform Signal Support Functions and Technical Assistance for Computer Systems: You will perform signal support functions and provide technical assistance for computer systems.
  • Provide Technical Assistance and Training for Local Area Networks: You will provide technical assistance and training for local area networks.
  • Maintenance for Equipment, Terminal Devices, Assigned Vehicles, and Power Generators: You will perform maintenance on equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Technical Skills: You will need strong technical skills, including knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles, preventive maintenance procedures, and line installation and wiring techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: You will need to have attention to detail and be able to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: You will need strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
