Job Title:
Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Quality Engineers and technicians with process improvements and documentation development for Quality Testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and improve standardized start-up and test documentation, including final reporting documentation. Collaborate with engineering and technical personnel to validate documentation, requirements, and risk mitigation plans. Prepare status reports to monitor progress in achieving documentation objectives. Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize the costs of quality.

Requirements:

Education:
The ideal candidate must be pursuing a 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering and have achieved junior status or higher. A cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) is required. The individual must also have completed the core coursework for their chosen discipline.

Skills:
Proficient in basic computer programs/business software, including Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for interaction with manufacturing personnel, engineering, and management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team without direct supervision.

Working Conditions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Office deskwork, requiring sitting, walking, using phone & computer. May lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Can tolerate variable and sometimes challenging conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment in a railroad environment.
