Since our inception, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional support to healthcare facilities across the region and beyond. Our team is proficient in handling both neonatal and pediatric patients, featuring a diverse configuration of RN/RT/EMT specialists. We conduct approximately 6,000 transports annually, offering specialized services such as ECMO, High Frequency Ventilation, Nitric, therapeutic cooling, and Maternal Fetal transports. Our unwavering commitment to excellence in transport medicine has garnered national and international recognition, including prestigious awards in the field. Our communication center operates around the clock, staffed by certified flight communication specialists ready to assist at any time.

We are transparent with potential candidates regarding employment conditions. The seasonal influenza vaccine is mandatory for all employees. Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care through thorough assessment, intervention, and stabilization for critically ill transport patients, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Foster positive relationships with referring and accepting healthcare providers, serving as a clinical resource for educational and consultation needs.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and family-centered care during patient transport.
  • Maintain continuity of patient care through accurate documentation.
  • Engage in performance improvement and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree with Advanced Certification preferred, along with 3-5 years of critical care experience, including at least one year in pediatric and/or neonatal critical care.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Missouri and Kansas.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required upon hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) or Pediatric Advanced Transport Course (PATC) required within one year.
  • Must meet a body weight requirement of 230 lbs or less and be willing to participate in departmental weigh-ins as necessary.

Starting Pay

Our compensation is competitive, with starting pay for this position beginning at $32.70/hr, influenced by education and experience.
