We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Clinician in Critical Care Anesthesia to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania. As a critical care anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in research and academic activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide critical care services to patients in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the operating rooms and wards of the hospitals
- Participate in research and academic activities, including lectures, small groups, workshops, and simulation sessions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative critical care programs, including tele-critical care and mobile ECMO
- MD or MD/Ph.D. degree or equivalent
- ABA certification in anesthesiology or status as a candidate in the examination system
- Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license
- Experience in critical care anesthesia and teaching
- Mid-career experience in academic medicine
- Experience in leadership and management roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
