About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Electrical Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems
  • Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs
  • Perform extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved
  • Conduct research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in design, development, and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and assemblies
  • Solid working knowledge in military standards associated with the design and development of tactical military equipment
  • Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design using computer aided design tools
  • Experience operating and controlling test equipment using scripting languages such as LABVIEW or MATLAB
  • Experience in addressing diminishing manufacturing sources (DMS) and electrical component obsolescence issues in existing designs
  • Experience in EMI/RFI standards and implementation
  • Experience in electrical power standards and power system design
  • Proficiency in technical writing and preparation of MIL-STD documentation
Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree
  • 5-7 years experience in a relevant function
