Position: Senior Security Incident Response Manager

Blue Yonder is in search of a dedicated and experienced Senior Security Incident Response Manager who will take charge of threat identification, surveillance, and response strategies.
This role involves overseeing security incident management during North American operational hours and collaborating closely with global internal security teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address cybersecurity threats to ensure the organization operates securely. Collaborate with the existing internal Security Operations Center (SOC) team globally and keep the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) updated on security operations.
- Serve as a point of contact between the SOC team, other internal stakeholders, and external entities such as vendors, clients, or regulatory bodies.
- Formulate incident management strategies and protocols, conduct network assessments for breach indicators, and coordinate tabletop exercises to refine plans, policies, and procedures.
- Engage in proactive threat hunting to uncover vulnerabilities and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures; collaborate with internal red teams to identify offensive activities and implement corrective actions.
- Enhance security frameworks by continuously monitoring the security landscape, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Proactively identify threats and execute risk mitigation strategies.
- Generate performance metrics for management as required. Compile system security reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Define and assist in the implementation of on-premises and cloud security architectures and controls.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures through ongoing monitoring; conduct incident response evaluations; and develop training programs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in security incident response or penetration testing; a Master's degree may substitute for experience.
- Hands-on experience with threat detection, monitoring, incident response, and implementation, including the ability to query and write detection rules, as well as manage security technologies (e.g., SIEM tools like Qradar/Splunk).
- Familiarity with tools such as SOAR, WAF, AV, Firewalls, and Internet-facing services. Experience with Sentinelone and Crowdstrike is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in conducting technical analyses of security incidents, including malware analysis, incident triage, escalation, communication, and digital forensics.
- Strong track record in preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber threats.
- Relevant certifications such as CISM, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management is essential.
- Familiarity with automation scripting.
- Extensive knowledge in vulnerability and threat management, capable of transforming threat intelligence into actionable insights.
- A Bachelor's degree in information security, information technology, computer science, or related fields.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS.
- Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO 27001/2.
- Comprehensive understanding of information security principles, standards, and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, TCP/IP protocols, device monitoring, and log management.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A results-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
