Recreational Therapist

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic entry-level recreational assistants to join our team at Whiting Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Our facility provides a warm, nurturing environment that allows each resident to maintain their individuality and dignity.

• Assist in planning and promoting recreation-based activities tailored to individualized needs and interests, encouraging participation and engagement.
• Visit bed-bound residents and non-participants, providing appropriate recreation services.
• Assist with monthly newsletters and recreation calendars.
• Support the volunteer program, admission assessments, and community interaction programs.
• Ensure residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
• Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities.
• Support residents in scheduling and participating in video calls.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrated skills in one of the following areas: music, arts & crafts, movement/exercise, painting, or ceramics.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and be on your feet for long durations.
