Selectek is a leading firm specializing in residential and commercial developments. We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join our team near Birmingham, Alabama.
About the Role
This position involves working on land and site development projects, with a focus on residential developments, small-to-medium commercial sites, and institutional campus improvements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D drawings for contract documents and 3D models to demonstrate more complex features or structures
- Produce graphics for engineering reports and presentations
- Designs could include layout, grading, storm drainage network design, erosion control, road networks, and utility design/integration
- Perform field inspections as necessary
- Work with projects from concept through completed construction
- Mentor other technicians on design procedures and standards
- Help maintain CAD design standards and workflows for the company
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2+ years of design experience emphasizing residential developments, small-to-medium commercial sites, or institutional campus improvements
- Associate's degree in CAD Drafting/Engineering Technology (experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
- Experience with analysis, design, and construction management of land development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. The role also offers a hybrid work option once the candidate has completed onboarding and orientation.
