About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at the Gulf Coast Blood Center. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and monitor facility activities to discourage criminal activity and ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Evict trespassers and violators, and detain perpetrators while following legal protocols.
  • Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.
  • Use communication devices clearly and concisely to maintain effective communication.
  • Perform CPR in emergency situations if necessary.
  • Maintain a vigilant focus on protecting company property and enforce laws.
  • Conduct security checks for specified areas.
  • Control visitor and property access during and after work hours.
  • Demonstrate good judgment to identify the best course of action.
  • Exhibit observation skills to quickly notice anything out of order.
  • Investigate security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
  • Report safety issues such as fire hazards, vandalism, and suspicious criminal activity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of Security Guard experience (Preferred).
  • Level II Non-Commissioned Preferred.
  • CPR First Aid Certification a plus.
  • Security Guard License or Certification.
  • Valid Driver License.
