We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at the Gulf Coast Blood Center. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and property.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol and monitor facility activities to discourage criminal activity and ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Evict trespassers and violators, and detain perpetrators while following legal protocols.
- Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.
- Use communication devices clearly and concisely to maintain effective communication.
- Perform CPR in emergency situations if necessary.
- Maintain a vigilant focus on protecting company property and enforce laws.
- Conduct security checks for specified areas.
- Control visitor and property access during and after work hours.
- Demonstrate good judgment to identify the best course of action.
- Exhibit observation skills to quickly notice anything out of order.
- Investigate security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
- Report safety issues such as fire hazards, vandalism, and suspicious criminal activity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of Security Guard experience (Preferred).
- Level II Non-Commissioned Preferred.
- CPR First Aid Certification a plus.
- Security Guard License or Certification.
- Valid Driver License.
