Clinical Faculty Position

Key Responsibilities- Clinical Teaching: Teach Fundamentals Nursing courses in a clinical setting, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
- Student Supervision: Plan and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Remediation: Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
- Agency/Clinical Partnerships: Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of agency/clinical personnel.
- Grading and Feedback: Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- Didactic Teaching: May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.
- Communication: Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas.
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at specific clinical partner sites.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
- A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
- Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $560 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hour assigned to the course. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law.
