Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the CEO to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Perform routine tasks required to maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Coordinate and support effective communication between managers, employees, staff, and HR staff.
  • Provide HR informational meetings and training at various company locations.
Benefits Management
  • Manage all company benefit plans and options, including health care, supplemental, retirement, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Negotiate better packages with benefit providers and present them to management.
  • Ensure all employees are informed of current benefits and retirement packages.
  • Disperse benefits packages in advance of enrollment windows.
  • Enroll employees in benefits after the enrollment waiting period.
Recruitment and Onboarding/Off-Boarding
  • Observe market rates to ensure competitive compensation rates.
  • Complete the recruiting process, including creating and editing online job postings, scheduling and conducting interviews, and verifying work history and references.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including completion of onboarding documents, organizing and conducting orientation and training, and administering handbooks and manuals.
  • Execute the off-boarding process, including advising staff on their rights and any entitled benefits, return of company property, and conducting exit interviews.
Company Policy and Safety Training Coordination
  • Organize workplace safety training.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
  • Educate employees on and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee health and safety regulations implementation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • 6 months of healthcare or related experience.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting, healthcare, or related field.
Technical Skills
  • Competent use of computer systems and basic typing skills.
  • Demonstrates necessary proficiency with healthcare electronic clinical systems, including EHR and scheduling systems in medical office settings.
  • Proficient in clerical/administrative skills, including Microsoft Office suite and other general office software.
Communications Skills
  • Effective communication abilities to interact via phone, email, and/or in-person with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A calm manner and patience when handling stressful situations.
