Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Terminal/Location Manager, the Grain Elevator Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the grain elevator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist farmer/owners with unloading grain from trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance on elevator equipment to prevent downtime
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the facility
  • Maintain accurate records of grain movement and storage
  • Monitor grain condition and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless grain movement and aeration
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to equipment repairs and maintenance needs
  • Learn and utilize software systems for automation and efficiency
  • Assist with loading trains at shuttle loaders as needed
  • Provide support to other divisions within the company as required
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely
Functional Competencies:
  • Demonstrate independence and teamwork in a dynamic environment
  • Have a basic understanding of machine maintenance and operation
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently
