Offshore Wind Transmission Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Wind Transmission Specialist to join our team at TRC Companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with safety and technical oversight on offshore wind-related electrical equipment, including high voltage switching activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic electrical apparatus testing and interpret test results with supervision
- Demonstrate ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem analysis associated with substation equipment
- Participate in project meetings, including kickoff meetings, planning meetings, progress meetings, and lessons learned meetings
- Assist in developing a Site Risk Assessment to document high-risk construction and commissioning activities
- Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and project completion reports and documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum of High School or equivalent
- Electrical Technical or trade school certificate/diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience working with medium/high voltage systems
- Be familiar with drawing systems, such as one-line diagrams, arrangement of equipment drawings, and electrical schematics
- Must meet the requirement for safe operation of climbing gear
- Able to work in and around water, at elevated heights, travel by boat and helicopter
