About the Role

Livius Prep is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Tutor to join our team. As a Special Education Tutor, you will play a vital role in empowering students with diverse learning needs to achieve their academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning
    • Develop and implement personalized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student
    • Adjust teaching strategies and approaches based on student ability and progress
    • Provide one-on-one and group instruction to students with neurodivergent learning needs
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with students, parents, and other educators to ensure the success of every student
    • Communicate openly and regularly with the Livius Prep team
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in paid and continuous training to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records and notes after each session
    • Manage your schedule and be available for weekday evenings and some weekend hours
Requirements
  • Experience and Education
    • Teaching or tutoring experience working with the neurodivergent community
    • Completed at least four years of college
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Computer literacy
    • Reliability and punctuality
    • Ability to work in-person from one of our offices or with school partners
