Job Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Atrium Health, you will be responsible for performing laboratory analysis on received specimens, providing critical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a High School or GED Diploma Graduate and a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 30 quarter hours of lecture science, including at least 15 quarter hours of chemistry, 10 quarter hours of biology, and 5 quarter hours of math.

Certifications and Licenses

You must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, AAB (AAB with 15yrs.experience), NCA, HHS certification or equivalent. If registry eligible, all newly hired technical staff must pass an approved certification exam within twelve (12) months of placement in this occupational classification.
