Community Integration Specialist

We are seeking a Community Integration Specialist to join our team at Advocates. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the values, dreams, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities through education and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to agency mission and values.
- Develop meaningful community schedules focusing on individual's choices and preferences.
- Work one-on-one with clients for a minimum of 3 hours per shift in their local community.
- Think creatively to engage clients and help them try new opportunities.
- SOURCE volunteer opportunities.
- Help clients with schedule flexibility, effective communication, and skill development.
- Pick clients up from their homes and work with them on their pre-determined goals and objectives while accessing the community.
Requirements:
- Associates degree preferred.
- At least 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities/autism.
- Behavior management/modification experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving status.
- Use of a reliable vehicle that seats two passengers.
