Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Department Leader at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department at the Nampa Medical Center. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage human resources, oversee staffing schedules, and ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pharmaceutical products for patients' use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards.
  • Comprehend and support quality assurance and risk management issues, complete two performance improvement projects annually.
  • Cover core pharmacist shifts when required, supervise pharmacy technicians, and coordinate technician, pharmacy intern, and pharmacist orientation and training programs.
  • Effectively manage human resources, oversee staffing schedules, and ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Three years of hospital experience required.
