**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Technician to join our team at Krier Foods. As a Sanitation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the sanitation of our processing and production equipment and plant. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

* Operate within safety and quality standards, adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and job specifications, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized.
* Responsible for reading and comprehending job standards, meeting quality standards, and specifications for sanitation (chemical concentrations, time & temperature, cleaning times, flow rate, etc.).
* Monitor the C.I.P. operation to ensure that cleaning was completed to specifications and documented.
* Communicate effectively with Management regarding equipment issues, Food Safety issues, quality issues, safety issues, and sanitation not meeting requirements.
* Assist in inventory of chemicals, cleaning supplies, and parts required.
* Inspect sanitation work and follow up as appropriate to ensure that all operating and sanitation standards have been met to ensure a safe and effective on-time start of production and processing equipment.

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 1-2 years previous sanitation experience preferred; with experience in Food and Beverage industry preferred.
* Required to fully comply with Quality Management System Policies and Procedures and Food Safety Management requirements.
* Must be able to work overtime as needed.
* Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and comprehend instructions and procedures in English.
* Ability to prioritize workload and accommodate shift in daily priorities based on the needs of the business.
* Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail.
* Ability to demonstrate a high sense of urgency and be proactive in addressing problems as they arise.
* Ability to calculate and understand basic math and simple formulas including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages.
* Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration, and teamwork.
* Must attain Food Safety Training (Qualified Individual).

**Physical Requirements:**

* Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, sitting, twisting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing), perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time (up to 2-3 hours) and be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
* Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., inspection, etc.).
* Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to extreme heat, wet, cold, dust, and fumes.
