Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant 3 Skilled Nursing Facility provides direct patient care and performs basic nursing procedures in a skilled nursing facility or home health care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist nursing staff in assessing patient physical and mental condition according to policies and procedures
- Communicate individualized nursing care plans and provide assistance in implementation when needed
- Complete required documentation in patient and unit records
- Follow hospital/departmental procedures regarding infection control
- Perform basic nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, weight, and specimens according to treatment plan
- Provide training and/or direction to patients in activities of daily living to promote increased independence
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant
- Two years of experience at the lower level Nursing Assistant 2 (HCS051) or position equivalent
