About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and delivering outstanding customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including routine and emergency care, surgery, and dentistry.
  • Perform laboratory tests, handle and dispense medications, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with clients, and educate them on pet care and health.
  • Participate in the training of new staff members and contribute to the overall success of our veterinary team.
Requirements
  • College or college-equivalent education as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in emotional and stressful situations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
