We are seeking a highly driven and analytical individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst for our company.

This role is integral in providing strategic financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting to support decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed financial analyses, developing financial models, and providing financial support to various business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute financial and business strategies in collaboration with the senior management team.
  • Conduct detailed financial analyses and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Monitor variance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide financial support to various business functions and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the management team, highlighting key business drivers and financial trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the transportation industry.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including knowledge of complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
