**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Build-A-Bear Workshop. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our guests, ensuring they leave our store with a smile and a new furry friend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist guests in selecting and purchasing products, including stuffed animals, clothing, and accessories.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, including features, benefits, and pricing.
  • Engage with guests to understand their needs and preferences, making personalized recommendations to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive store environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and respect.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging and inviting shopping experience.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and support store initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
