Job Summary

We are seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our team at LakeHouse Senior Living. As a Care/Medication Technician, you will provide hands-on care, physical and emotional support to our residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and support to a designated group of residents during each shift, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Observe, report, and document any changes in resident condition, including skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond promptly to security system alerts and resident call bells.
  • Notify supervisors and/or Health Care Coordinators of any increased care needs or concerns.
  • Assist with continence management, dispose of continence products properly, and maintain cleanliness of resident suites and community restrooms.
  • Serve and collect food trays, reporting any meal refusals or loss of appetite.
  • Maintain resident rooms and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Practice good standard care precautions, including cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity, and physical safety.
  • Participate in and lead activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Greet and assist internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform resident laundry as assigned and needed.
  • Assist with medication administration, observing medications and treatments, and documenting any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
