Position OverviewThe role of the Kitchen Expediter is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of our kitchen. This position involves coordinating orders from servers and the kitchen, effectively communicating the necessary preparations to the cooking staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintaining excellent attendance by arriving on time, managing shift replacements responsibly, and following procedures for time off and illness.
- Upholding sanitation and safety standards, aiming for high scores on all inspections.
- Meeting uniform and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook.
- Delivering outstanding guest service by managing customer feedback effectively and providing accurate menu information.
- Ensuring precise communication of orders to kitchen personnel, facilitating timely meal service, and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
- Conducting end-of-shift procedures in accordance with company protocols.
- Monitoring food quality, adding garnishes, and promptly updating servers on order statuses.
- Promoting a collaborative team environment by assisting colleagues as needed.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading and communicating effectively in English.
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly and engage in physical activities throughout shifts.
- Capable of standing, walking, lifting, stooping, and bending for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and a cooperative team player.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, a commitment to guest satisfaction, and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Exhibits manual dexterity in operating registers, serving, and managing food.
- Successfully completes food safety training.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
