Role Overview

The Radiologic Technologist operates under the guidance of the Radiologist, conducting imaging examinations in accordance with established standards of care. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging as prescribed by physicians and supporting the surgical team with mobile fluoroscopy. The position is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to professional, DNV, Federal, and State regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish rapport with patients to identify their service needs effectively.
  • Ensure the functionality of radiology equipment through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manage inventory of radiology supplies by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Stay informed on legal and professional requirements by reviewing current legislation and advising management on compliance.
  • Enhance professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and networking within professional organizations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established protocols.
  • Facilitate patient cooperation by alleviating concerns and providing clear explanations of procedures.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting equipment settings.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Adhere to infection control policies to protect patients and staff during procedures.
  • Ensure the quality of radiographs by following established standards and making necessary adjustments.
  • Document patient care services accurately in departmental records.
  • Contribute to team objectives by supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
