Job Summary:

Clinical Radiologic Technologist III is responsible for producing high-quality radiographs of various body parts according to physician requests. This role requires expertise in radiographic techniques, quality assurance of imaging equipment, and teaching radiographic skills to lower-level technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops radiographs using automatic processors and ensures desired results.
  • Performs special procedures and troubleshoots issues with radiographic equipment.
  • Provides expertise on computerized radiographic software and forwards radiographs to radiologists for review.
  • Oversees quality assurance on all radiological equipment and maintains processors.
  • Ensures accurate timing and positioning techniques and processes necessary paperwork for billing purposes.
  • Provides training and guidance to lower-level Radiologic Technicians and adheres to laboratory safety procedures.
  • Monitors inventory supplies and initiates orders as needed.
  • Responds to emergency situations and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Graduate from an approved two-year program in Radiologic technology.
  • Three (3) years of experience in radiology technology.
