### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician III to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Patient Services-Central Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

### Key Responsibilities

* Transporting and restocking surgical instrumentation and medical materials in designated areas within the surgical suites or SPD
* Receiving, sorting, cleaning, and decontaminating soiled reusable instruments, equipment, and materials
* Inspecting, preparing, and sterilizing surgical instruments and other materials
* Assembling trays and packets of instruments, medical supplies for surgical procedures
* Operating and monitoring sterilizers, programming settings, and monitoring temperature and other critical readings during run cycle

### Qualifications

* Certification of Sterile/Central Processing is strongly preferred
* A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
* A minimum of three years experience in Sterile Processing/Central Processing is required
* Previous experience with Endoscopes is required
* Strong knowledge of instrumentation and power surgical instruments
* Strong customer service and communication skills to develop working relationships with staff
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as a team player
* Flexibility and willingness to change assignments due to department needs
