Primary Areas of Focus
  • Proposal Planning and Evaluation
    • Supplier and Subcontractor Sourcing
    • Commercial Specification Review and Understanding
    • Interaction with Estimating, Legal, Operations Teams to ensure Proposal Compliance
  • Project Execution
    • Solicit bids, evaluate quotations, supplier selection, Contract Execution
    • Change Management
    • Scheduling and Expediting of Deliverables, Services, Materials
  • Project Close Out and Evaluation
    • Warranty efforts as needed
    • Contract Close Outs
    • Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Sourcing and Supplier/Subcontractor Development
    • Find and qualify potential Suppliers and Subcontractors
    • Work with the Quality Team to audit Suppliers for capabilities
    • Supplier Evaluations Post Project and Yearly
Essential Functions
  • Complete Purchase Order Contracts on a clear and concise basis as required by the Project needs.
  • Understand and negotiate Commercial Terms and Conditions with Suppliers and Subcontractors.
  • Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes and cancellations.
  • Manage and negotiate resolutions for Supplier or Subcontractor Issues.
  • Interface with the Operations Team, Scheduling, Field Engineering, Site Administration, Finance organizations, and Legal Department as required.
  • Participate in Supplier Evaluations and annual performance reviews, as required.
  • Ability to understand Project Specifications and requirements to identify key requirements for compliance of Subcontractor bidding and execution.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Construction Experience Preferred.
  • Strong negotiating skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
