Job Title: Industrial Millwright

Synerfac is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our team in Martinsville, VA. Our client is a leading manufacturer of wood products in North America, and we need a skilled professional to maintain their production machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Repair and replace machinery, parts, and equipment as needed.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as assistive devices.
  • Weld, use cutting torches, and braze as required.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and simple drawings to fabricate parts and equipment.
  • Operate shop equipment, including drill presses, grinders, hydraulic presses, band saws, and skill saws.
  • Drive forklifts, Millwright trucks, and frontend loaders as needed.
  • Complete work in the field and in the shop, including disassembly and assembly.
  • Work to precise tolerances and in confined areas.
  • Consult technical manuals and technicians as necessary.
  • Complete PM sheets and work orders to outline daily activities.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Millwright in an industrial setting.
  • Welding experience is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands, including kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing, reaching, bending, and squatting.
  • Valid Driver's License.
