This position is currently contingent on program award and associated program award funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

About the Role

This Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing computer and network architectures, performing hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis. You will interpret, allocate, tailor, write, and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectives.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing and data storage, as well as experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements. You will also be responsible for technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration, and test support.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or a Ph.D. with 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, is required. An active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) is necessary. Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance is also required.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in Ethernet-based networking design, to include IP address planning, switching, and routing, as well as working knowledge of cyber security and Risk Managed Framework (RMF), STIGs, and associated elements. Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems is also essential.

Benefits

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary ranging from $114,900 to $172,300, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, and Long Term Incentives may be available for Vice President or Director positions. Our benefits package includes health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
