About the Role:

The Director, Security Engineering will oversee the team responsible for protecting PsiQuantum's technology assets. Reporting to the Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO), this individual will develop and implement processes, standards, and technology to ensure the company's data and systems remain resilient against security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the security architecture, detection engineering, vulnerability management, and security automation functions.
  • Develop and implement security standards to govern internal and cloud environments.
  • Implement technical solutions to proactively address security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align Security Engineering priorities with business objectives.
  • Ensure security requirements are integrated into product development, IT systems, and business practices.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow Security Engineering team members.
  • Provide senior management with regular insights into current threats and the company's security posture.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years in Information Security or an adjacent field.
  • 4+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Demonstrated experience building and growing Information Security programs in global technology companies.
  • Familiarity with current best practices for systems, networking, cloud, and SaaS implementations.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:

The estimated base pay range for this position is $188,000 - $270,000 USD per year, depending on qualifications, location, and business needs.
