Key Responsibilities- Hand soldering SMT components under a microscope, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Performing a variety of tasks, from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations, on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Determining methods and sequences of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available.
- Using hand tools, power tools, calibration tools, and test equipment to assemble and test products.
- Making continuity checks and conducting quality inspections on work in process and completed work.
- Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental/prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and preparing logs and production records.
- Assisting Assemblers as necessary to ensure successful job completion.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools, including wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, etc.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and procedures, and make corrections and suggest improvements to documentation and procedures.
- Ability to work with small parts and printed circuit boards.
- Thorough understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and inspection techniques.
- Able to perform basic soldering functions and use magnification or specialized devices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent English language skills to communicate effectively with work cell technicians, other departments, and customers.
- 5 years of prior experience in assembly and SMT hand soldering.
- Assembly experience: 5+ years.
