Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Field Service Technician - Electrical to provide hands-on field service work at customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of components and subassemblies, and basic commissioning of IEM equipment primarily in data center or industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend project meetings as required, including coordination with contractors and clients.
  • Installation and modification of electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, including panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bar, switchgear section doors and subpanels, addition of control components, power cabling and control wiring.
  • Perform basic testing of modified assemblies (visual, ductor, etc.).
  • Perform basic commissioning of switchboards, controls panels, and power products.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment.
  • Coordinate with Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to find solutions to product or commissioning issues identified by IEM or reported by the customer in the field, and identify additional field resources needed for installation and replacement parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, field installations and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Provide technical product support.
Requirements:
  • A technical degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or field service role with electrical equipment.
  • Must be a team player and have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision is a must.
  • Travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems.
  • Military experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
