Job Summary: Precision Measurement Technician

We are seeking an experienced Precision Measurement Technician to join our team at SIMCO Electronics. This full-time, non-exempt role comes with a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary of approximately $95,000 per year.

In this challenging role, you will be responsible for calibrating inspection, measurement, and test equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment to meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to troubleshoot RF transmission circuits.
  • Work with RF-enabled devices, including cell phone antennas, amplifiers, and satellite systems.
  • Develop calibration procedures based on technical specifications and drawings.
  • Analyze calibration data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain calibration standards and ensure proper functioning of precision equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Formal metrology training is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in general math and algebra.
  • Basic understanding of statistics is essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ANSI Z540).
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong adherence to written procedures.
