About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at IntelyCare in Swansea, Massachusetts. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in post-acute care facilities.
Competitive Salary
The estimated hourly salary for this position is between $23-$35 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for nursing professionals who value flexibility and stability. You will have the option to choose from a variety of shift types, including weekdays, weekends, day/night/overnight shifts, and enjoy generous tuition discounts (up to 34%) for undergraduate and graduate programs through Excelsior University.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents in post-acute care facilities, adhering to individualized care plans and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Check vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and report any concerns or emergencies to the broader nursing team.
- Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, grooming, personal hygiene, and feeding.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by changing linens, sanitizing surfaces, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between residents and healthcare staff, communicating effectively to address resident needs and concerns.
- Stay engaged with residents, offering companionship and comfort, and communicate with family members and visitors to address their concerns.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with medical professionals and residents.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
