Position Overview:
Intermountain Healthcare is on the lookout for a dual board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Genetic Specialist to become a vital part of our esteemed Maternal Fetal Medicine team.
Our well-established group comprises 26 MFM partners supported by a dedicated and experienced staff across our facilities.
As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Genetic Specialist, you will oversee our perinatal genetics program, collaborating closely with a team of four genetic counselors.Primarily, your focus will be on outpatient ultrasound and consultations at our diagnostic centers.
Responsibilities may also extend to our specialized fetal center, ensuring comprehensive care.
On-call duties are flexible, including virtual consultations for our OB providers, medical oversight, and managing maternal transport triage.
We encourage our physicians to shape their practice model in alignment with patient care needs.Key Responsibilities:
As an MFM Genetic Specialist, you may engage in:
- Inpatient management of antepartum services
- In-house call responsibilities
- Private prenatal clinic operations
- Supervision of MFM Fellows, medical students, and residents
- Research initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Clinical appointments with the University of Utah
Our program is accredited by the AIUM.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be Board Certified/Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics, with the capability to secure an unrestricted state license.
Completion of an ACGME Residency and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive base salary with additional earnings for productivity, extra shifts, and on-call duties.
