About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from initiation to delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget completion. You will coordinate with teams to complete distinct projects, requiring strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, as well as substantial experience managing IT, software consulting, or change management projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Design and lead cross-functional team meetings between Support, Finance, Sales, Resource Management, and other teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Content Development: Develop, effectively present, and communicate content to stakeholders, including project plans, status updates, and final deliverables.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and manage the delivery of consulting services for assigned projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Customer Expectations: Understand and manage customer expectations around success criteria, ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with the Resource Management Office (RMO) to manage project staffing requirements, ensuring that the right resources are allocated to meet project needs.
  • Accounting Support: Support accounting activities as required, including obtaining copies of receipts for finance invoicing queries.
  • Procurement: Assist the Operations team in procuring subcontractors when needed.
  • Team Development: Coach and mentor junior-level project managers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Problem-Solving: Maintain professionalism when problem-solving and resolving issues, ensuring that project deliverables are met or exceeded.
  • Knowledge Development: Develop a foundational knowledge of Red Hat's technologies and awareness of emerging Red Hat technologies.
  • Transformational Services: Maintain and grow your knowledge of Red Hat transformational services practices.
Requirements
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of specific industry project management and technical delivery methodologies, such as those based on the Project Management Institute (PMI), system and software development, product development, or scrum.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience working as a project or program manager, leading customer-facing IT consulting projects and change initiatives.
  • Culture Impact: Ability to affect, inspect, and adapt company culture.
  • Team Motivation: Demonstrated ability to motivate the project team and individual contributors and mediate conflicts.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience using various project management and agile tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel may be required to work alongside leading FSI customers.
  • Certifications: Scrum master, lean, product management, and project management certifications are a plus.
