Optum NY - Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Syosset, NY. As a member of our care delivery team, you will provide nursing care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care
  • Assists physician or other provider with clinical procedures and participates in patient teaching
  • Provides direction to clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • New York State (NYS) license with current NYS registration, in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • 1+ years of experience as a licensed practical nurse or 2+ years as a medical assistant in a dermatology setting
  • EPIC EMR experience

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
