Job Opportunity

Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled News Producer to join our team. As a key member of our news production team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This role will work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors to develop and execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine the content and flow of newscasts
• Work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our website
• Collaborate with the team to create engaging and informative newscasts
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of news judgment and editorial standards

Requirements

• At least some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station
• A journalism degree is preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
