Role Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for overseeing essential HR functions such as payroll management, talent acquisition, and employee onboarding, while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and labor regulations. This role involves maintaining HRIS data, managing the complete recruitment process, and facilitating the integration of new employees. Furthermore, the Coordinator will assist in policy revisions, training program development, compliance monitoring, and support the HR Manager in strategic initiatives and reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of weekly timecards and prepare payroll documentation.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
- Represent the HR department in various committees and workgroups.
- Maintain and update HRIS records to ensure compliance with applicable laws and generate reports for efficient data access.
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, applicant tracking, conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
- Collaborate with hiring teams and marketing to promote job openings through diverse channels.
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires during their initial weeks.
- Work with management to design and implement training programs, utilizing external resources as necessary.
- Assist the HR Manager in monitoring compliance with HR and labor laws throughout the organization.
- Support the HR Manager in researching and updating policies for the Employee Handbook.
- Partner with the HR Manager and Engagement Committee to propose and develop initiatives that enhance employee productivity and engagement.
- Act as a secondary contact for the HR Manager during compliance audits.
- Ensure the accuracy and currency of employee data across HRIS, Label Management Software, and benefits portals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of relevant experience; SHRM or HRCI Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
